Battery high impedance fault: resistance above 1 ohm
The power supply specification lists the battery high impedance fault (Batt Hi Z) as resistance above 1 ohm, with a 1-hour reporting time.
Fault condition: display shows number and nature of faults
When the panel detects a fault the display indicates the number and nature of the fault(s), the internal buzzer sounds an intermittent tone and the amber General Fault LED pulses, with any other specific Fault LEDs lit. Scroll the list with the arrow keys. Mute Buzzer silences the buzzer and turns the General Fault LED steady. Faults are non-latching (except System Fault) and clear automatically when remedied, or press Reset System to clear. A silenced buzzer re-sounds when a new fault occurs.
Loop transmission path fault
If a fault occurs on a transmission path (short circuit or interruption), the manual says the function of the remaining operational devices is re-established within 300 seconds of the fault, compliant with EN 54-2 clause 12.5.
Power supply fault on mains input or battery
The Power Supply Fault LED pulsing indicates a power supply fault on the mains power input or battery. Steady indicates the same fault with the buzzer muted.
Power Supply Fault for up to 1 minute at power-up
If the mains is connected before the batteries, the panel shows a Power Supply Fault for up to 1 minute until the monitoring cycle has finished polling. The manual says this is normal, and to check connections if the fault does not clear after 1 minute.
Fault on one or more sounder circuits
The Sounder Status LED pulsing indicates a fault on one or more sounder circuits. The same LED steady indicates sounder circuits have been disabled or are in test mode.
System failure, panel not functional or PCB configuration not set up
The System Fault LED steady indicates a system failure, that the panel is not functional, or that the internal PCB configuration has not been set up correctly. Pulsing indicates the panel has recovered from a system fault.
System Fault LED and General Fault LED pulsing with pulsed buzzer
System Fault LED pulsing, General Fault LED pulsing and a pulsed (fault tone) buzzer indicate a system fault has occurred and the affected board has recovered. The indication remains until the panel is reset.
System Fault LED only, continuous buzzer
A system fault is a processor watchdog time-out or processor failure. With only the System Fault LED lit and a continuous buzzer, the display board (main control board) is halted and no other indication or control is possible. The fault relay is activated.
System Fault LED continuous, General Fault LED pulsing
On the optional extension LED board, a continuous System Fault LED with the General Fault LED pulsing means the extension LED board is halted. The fault relay is active, and fire alarms can still be detected and controlled by the panel.
System Fault, General Fault and Power Supply Fault LEDs pulsing
With the System Fault, General Fault and Power Supply Fault LEDs all pulsing, the fault relay is activated. Mains or battery power will still operate the panel, but batteries will not be charging. The indications remain until the fault is rectified and the panel is reset.
