The Zone Chart Designer turns a building plan, a pasted zone list, existing site data or a blank canvas into a clear, editable fire alarm zone chart. Draw detection or alarm zones as boxes or polygons, colour and pattern them so they stay readable in mono and for common colour-vision deficiencies, and place panels, repeaters, a 'You are here' marker and a full fire-alarm symbol library.
A legend and title block are generated for you and kept in sync as you edit, with multi-floor page packs for larger buildings. Upload a plan image to trace over, then dim it out. Everything is fully editable — nothing is finalised without your review.
A built-in validation pass flags common issues — duplicate zone numbers on a panel, unnamed zones, missing panel locations, overlapping boundaries and faint fills — graded as errors, warnings or recommendations. It exports to high-resolution PNG, to print or PDF at A4/A3/A2 with a greyscale option, and to a CSV zone schedule, with revision tracking throughout.

New install handover
Build the zone chart from the commissioning zone list, place the panel and 'You are here' marker at the entrance, add the legend and title block, and export an A3 PDF for the panel enclosure.
Service visit correction
The chart on site no longer matches the installed system after a zone was split. Duplicate the current chart as a new revision, redraw the two zones, re-run validation and re-issue.
Converting a paper plan
Upload a photo or scan of the existing floor plan, dim it back, trace zones over the top and label the areas — no CAD licence required.
